Quiet C purchases majority positions in established, cashflow-generating companies under $15M of EBITDA at acquisition. The companies we own employ 1,000 people nationally.

COMPANIES

Headquartered in Indiana, Administrative Strategies is a claims adjusting and travel and pet claims third party administrator (“TPA”). On the claims adjusting side of the business, Administrative Strategies specializes in nationwide flood insurance claims and large loss claims. In 2018, Administrative Strategies’ CEO was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year for the Midwest.


Headquartered in North Carolina, RPG is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company, specializing in welding, pipe-fitting, electrician, and machinist crafts. RPG’s union arm is Great American Welding Company (GAWCO). Both firms serve a broad range of industries nationwide, including power generation (nuclear, fossil, oil and gas), defense, and chemicals sectors.


1st Direct specializes in placing flood policies nationally across both the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the private flood insurance market. 1st Direct works directly with homeowners as well through our partner channel of regional and national brokers, helping them to better service their clients. Private flood insurance policies in force are growing at approximately 40% a year, and 1st Direct aims to help homeowners and commercial businesses have more flood insurance options at their disposal.


Headquartered in Maryland, District Farms is a fully automated greenhouse, strategically located 45 minutes from both Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland. District Farms utilizes a growing system that markedly reduces water and energy usage. Upon completion of Phase II construction, District Farms will have approximately 200,000 sqft across two production facilities.

MANAGEMENT

Louis Sterchi, Founder & Managing Director, Washington, DC

R. Louis Sterchi leads Quiet C’s efforts cultivating relationships with business owners and with the management teams of the companies we own.  Prior to starting Quiet C, Mr. Sterchi was an Associate at The Carlyle Group, focusing on investments in the financial services sector, and was based in Washington, DC.  While at Carlyle, Mr. Sterchi was actively involved in the investments in Boston Private (NASDAQ: BPFH) and BankUnited, Inc. (NYSE: BKU).  Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Sterchi was an Associate at Catlin (currently known as AXA) in London, Bermuda, and San Francisco.

Mr. Sterchi holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from The Williams School at Washington & Lee University.

Nick Larson, Vice President, Washington, DC.

Mr. Larson leads all business development efforts at Quiet C, sourcing, analyzing, and evaluating potential company acquisitions. Prior to joining Quiet C, Mr. Larson was an Analyst at JPMorgan Chase and an Associate at Houlihan Lokey. Mr. Larson built and scaled a software business in the United States and the United Kingdom as the General Manager of Europe and Director of Finance. Mr. Larson holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania, a BA in Economics from The College of William & Mary, and is a CFA Charterholder.
